USC Law School's Public Interest Law Foundation will honor Susanne Browne, LAFLA Housing Attorney in the Long Beach office, as the PILF Public Interest Attorney of the Year for 2006. Susanne is receiving the honor in recognition of her dedication to the public interest and commitment to advocating for housing rights issues for disadvantaged communities. The award will be presented at a luncheon on April 12th.

Loyola Law School will present its 2006 Public Interest Award to LAFLA's David Ackerly, Director of Private Attorney Involvement, in recognition of his continued commitment to the public interest and for bringing honor to Loyola Law School. The award will be presented at an informal reception on the evening of April 26th.

Susanne and David join recent LAFLA honorees Mona Patel-Sikora, Immigration Unit Staff Attorney and USC Public Interest Attorney of the Year 2005, and Linda Samels, Housing Unit Staff Attorney and Loyola 2004 Public Interest Award recipient.
